A purpose-driven company that puts people at the centre of everything

Change is unavoidable. We know for a fact that as individuals, people or organisations, we have to face change at some point or another. There are those who hide from this reality by resisting and rejecting change, while others acknowledge it and find ways to manage the change in order to survive.

At Joomieq, we embrace change to thrive

Our journey to change was sparked by listening closely to our people and clients. We learned what they think about us and what they need from us as a digital consultancy. Our understanding led us to change our focus from technology and what it does, to focus on what it can do for people.

Looking inward to find our ‘why’

We worked with Fleetbean to help us find our ‘why’ and reposition our brand. This phase of our journey was by far the most uncomfortable. It required us to be vulnerable in order to be honest with ourselves. Most importantly, it revealed how we were transactional in the way we did things.

We wanted to change this by redefining ourselves, starting with a clear purpose. We developed a meaningful purpose statement to articulate what we stand for and our ambition to be a more conscious corporate citizen that puts people at the centre of everything we do.

Our purpose is to find new ways to make people’s lives easier without harming our planet

All our clients have unique challenges and goals. Their outcomes are different but the impact is the same for people and the environment. By helping clients change the way they work, we improve their lives, and reduce their carbon emissions and resource consumption to help future generations.

To bring our purpose to life and drive our rebrand, we developed new values to guide our behaviours as people, how we go about our work, and how we make decisions across all levels of the company. These are centred around us being kind and inclusive to create a sense of belonging for everyone.

Looking outward to improve our ‘how’

To support our new focus, we have also expanded our offering to provide a holistic and integrated approach to helping clients solve their business challenges. We achieve this through our new divisions, Xoutek and Fleetbean, which focus on specific services to help us enhance our client experience.

Reimagining

As our mission has changed from transforming processes to transforming organisations, we have designed a new visual identity to reflect our changes. The new identity communicates the purpose, maturity and stability of our company as we move forward into a better future.

Logo

We have chosen to keep our name, which is inspired by the idea of courage and emotional quotient. However, we have changed our wordmark from a lowercase font to an uppercase sans serif font to improve readability, refine our voice and reflect our growth as a company.

Colour palette

Our white and light grey are minimalistic and inviting shades that give a feeling of clarity and openness. Blue is our anchor colour, it gives stability to our offering and brand architecture. The accents of green represent our growth, the rebirth of our clients’ organisations and the restoration of nature.

Typography

Almost all our communication takes place through digital platforms and digital assets. We chose one sans serif typeface that reads well across multiple digital platforms and screen sizes. Our typeface is modern and keeps things simple, with multiple fonts within the family for us to highlight what’s important.

Digital platforms

All our social media handles have remained the same, but our website and email addresses have changed. We’ve changed our domain extension from joomieq.world to joomieq.com. This change was necessary to improve our privacy, search-engine rankings and credibility with email filters.

Some things won’t change

Though there have been a few changes, our difference still remains the same: empathy. By understanding our clients’ ever-changing needs and expectations, we are able to provide an objective perspective of their challenge and help them find the right digital solution.
